The Komen Philadelphia Affiliate thanks the Fuego Board for recognizing our leader, as well as for their dedication to joining us in breaking down barriers to embrace all cultures in the cures.
Dear Elaine:
Congratulations! Fuego Dance Company and the 2011 Board Members are pleased to award you with the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award. Over 50 Executive Directors, City Officials and Advocate were nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award honors five leaders within the City of Philadelphia who exemplify the award. Also, one organization will be recognized for their dedication to the Latino Community and The Greater Philadelphia Region.
You were chosen to be this year's recipient as a result of your contribution to the success in educating women at the Latinas United for the Cure event. Your generosity in unconditionally allowing our dance company to perform at the Latinas United for the Cure event and Pink Tie Ball is without a doubt one of the major factors that led to our recent drive to more community service throughout the city.
We look forward to seeing you at the awards banquet, Fuego's 15th Annual Black, White & Pink gala, where each year 500 people celebrate and recognize the achievements of our recipients.
Gracias,
Hector Serrano, Director/Founder
