2011-2012 Grantees

In  2011-2012, the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate will proudly distribute over $2 million in grants to the following 38 organizations in our 13-county service area. 

 

These grantees are hard at work every day in our neighborhoods - building bridges to women in need of critical breast health services.

 


They are connecting them with the resources that enrich and save lives, educating entire communities, replacing helplessness with hope, and empowering all generations and cultures to live in a world with breast cancer without living in fear... regardless of race, financial ability, education or background.

 

In total, the grantee programs funded are expected to accomplish the following:

 

  • Referrals to mammograms: 6,161
  • Mammograms performed: 3,864
  • Clinical breast exams: 4,365
  • Outreach contacts: 40,849
  • Education/counseling contacts: 8,237
